Since about a month i'm also accepting bitcoin as a payment in my restaurant.
I was really curious of what the impact would be.
Like i told before in my introduction, my restaurant is located in a small village in Belgium.
I placed a bitcoin logo on my menus, on the bill and on the entrance door.
But there wasn't any impact at all, it's like most people have never heard of bitcoin. Some people have read about it once. Some heard of it on the news but almost for all of my clients it is a totaly strange subject.
So untill now, there haven't been any transactions yet.
Anyway maybe in the future it will, so every day i'm really curious when the first transaction will happen.😄
The pay desk to accept bitcoin i have from bitkassa.nl.
Very nice people who live in Arnhem in the Netherlands, which is the Bitcoin capital of Europe.
If anyone pays the bill, the bitcoins are immediatly converted to €. So you don't have to worry about the value at the moment of the transaction.
In lot's of places in Arnhem they accept bitcoin. Bars, restaurants, hotels, shops, even in the Spar supermarket.
It's really great, i visited Arhem last week and i liked it a lot. http://arnhembitcoinstad.nl
So to make a long story short i would say that for all of us Steemers and crypto users it's a very normal thing to use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. But in Belgium and especialy where i live it certainly is not.
Keep it juicy guys and if you ever pass by don't forget...
😉
Fingers crossed for your first because customer.
👍i'm waiting...😄
because=btc btw. damn autocorrect.
I wouldn't want to spend my bitcoin on food lol the thing is rising every single day
Great. In France, people think the Blockchain is a chain to block the entrance of their garage. A long way to go.
😂 same here!
That's so awesome!
