This is something I tend to see a lot. What is also interesting is a person can sometimes create 2 accounts on an exchange and just buy & sell between them creating fake price movement if the amounts are high enough.

Or better yet a whale who trades on an exchange with low volume drastically affecting the price on one coin with just one trade by buying & selling off immediately when the hordes come flooding in.
