Update
Obviously, the premium named Twitter account @bitcoin is a very valuable asset. The account has been owned by a Bitcoin Cash supporter for a long time, rumors suggest possibly Roger Ver. The account has been used to promote Bitcoin Cash and has continuously been a target for Pro-Bitcoin supporters who have flooded Twitter with complaints about the account.
Yesterday (April 8th) Twitter suspended the account and apparently deleted it. It was quickly snapped up by a teenager who has a fondness for Cheetahs and lives in Turkey.
"So this is how free speech dies...with thunderous applause."
Roger Ver
The value of this account is obviously very high and it has likely already been flipped as there is now an owner from Russia who is using protected tweets.
I'm sure there is some negotiating going on in those protected tweets for the next owner. Will be interesting to see if it ends up in the hands of a BCH or BTC supporter and if the cycle repeats.

This is a ridiculous action taken by twitter.
I think they are just scared that blockchain will create platform better than the one they have, and they are just trying to avoid that from happening.
But I don't think blockchain can be stopped :)
I believe that the reason was not that, but the complaints of a lot of twitter users supporting bitcoin, as the account was BCH supporter.
I'm sure the fact that the Twitter CEO invested almost 3 million into Lightning Network a few weeks ago didn't play into it at all either.
Well, maybe that too, I didn't know about that!
Lol.. Twitter's reasons for deleting the account were viable but again check that!
Some kid who thinks turkeys are so cool using a Bitcoin username.
They should have seen this coming, but i think this username shouldn't have been available in the first place. Because bitcoin some big thing.
Isn't "Turkey is so cool" real valuable info, haha :)
Hhaah kids from Turkey could be dangerous for cryptomarkets.:D
A very smart teenager there. Twitter have no right to delete such valuable account without due scrutiny and review though.
what next ! earth banning bitcoin ?moon banning bitcoin?sun ...universe !!

How can it be possible for a child to have control over an account?
kid, not child
Good post and very interesting, If you think will end up in the hands of supporters BCH or BCT? and if you think it is better to end up in the hands of BCH or BCT supporters?
I don't have problems with Twitter suspending and deleting accounts they decide don't adhere to their standards. It's a private company and it's their rules. But if they delete an account, that name shouldn't be available for someone else to pick up. They should make it unavailable to everyone. Now someone has this valuable name that they literally did nothing to earn because of Twitter's actions.
Meanwhile on fb, I couldn't write status about Bitcoin to introduce it to people, because it says that i'm 'trying to trick people into risky investments'...
That's just hilarious. 😂😂
ahahhaha that kid in Turkey was a *Star-shining-most-bright for just a moment lol
wow this is absurd. the saga over names and branding. I'll be surprised if it doesn't end up in the hands of scammers, claiming to be the official Bitcoin twitter, and if you send .5 BTC now, you'll get 2 BTC back! Free!
