Pending Bitcoin fork detaches the altcoins Ethereum included

It would appear that Bitcoin is rising today and the Alt coins are no longer hanging on to the apron strings of Bitcoin. I mean this is the first time I’ve noticed the Alt coins not being dragged along for the ride.

I could be wrong, but I think this is short lived and is a result of those who are trying to benefit from some free Bitcoin Cash.
