Hello Steemians!
I am going to explain what is happening right now on cryptopia so if there's anyone trading over there will not make the same mistake as many people did, and they are now taking the hit.
It's been pretty fine to trade on #cryptopia in general up until 6 days ago when i wanted to transfer some of my tokens to another exchange.
The transaction is stuck on processing since 4/02/2018. It's been 6 days already. The transaction has no TX ID which means the token didn't left the exchange.
I opened a support ticket but had no answer until today.
So i started to read the forum and it turns out that not only me having this problem, many more people are in the same situation and with different coins/tokens.
Some people been reporting that their ETH, IGNIS, ZCL, TIX and many more transations stuck.
Some have more then 20 days of processing.
The interesting part in it is that one of the users had an answer from the support team and here is what they write:
"Thank you for contacting Cryptopia support. Our wallets go into maintenance from time to time due to a variety of reasons. We are unable to give ETAs on when maintenances will be complete or when nodes are provided for connections, but you can check it's status on the CoinInfo page which this direct link will take you to: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/ Adding some more nodes will add more available connections to this wallet and allow you to withdraw. If you had any nodes, please feel free to submit a new ticket with "COIN_TICKER NODES" as the subject line. When a wallet is in maintenance, you'll be unable to create an address, no deposits will come in, and you won't be able to trade or withdraw this coin. Please rest assured though, all transactions will proceed as normal once this status is lifted. We do sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and do seek your kind understanding on the matter. Regards, Cryptopia Support Team"
Now this is at least strange that they ask users to provide nodes.
Their another excuse was that they are dealing with 1.5m users and can't handle it. One more thing they said that it's because ETH network is overloaded. I personally think this is a complete nonsense
Honestly i don't know what to think guys. My advice be cautious when you use Cryptopia, at least for the next month.
I feel your pain mate they are hopeless. They the only ones that have Electronuem (last i checked) so I use them for that. other coins that I come across that I might fleetingly like, if they are on Cryptopia I just don't bother with them.
Kucoin are awesome check them out if you havn't already
don't he's lazy.self centred rude person, who ignorant of truth. idiot in other words. wants to make money off slander rather than being productive, and probably makes money on it lasting as long as possible with telling people to not be the solution. his idiot comments below speaks volumes. sympathy is not something you should give him.
i warned people not to make the same mistake, how is this a slander? it is the truth that transactions stay in processing for more then a week already. . I suspect that you some how have an interest in people going to trade in cryptopia. Oh wait, ERY pump and dump scam coin. nice move buddy. who's self centred rude person?? get an anger control class. looser
it's not strange what goes on is Cryptopia help coins that are unworthy of other exchanges, so if you trade them you have to be careful what you actually buy because otherwise you run the risk of delays, you have to keep in mind they are helping coins that are not the best, it's technically not their fault, if they need nodes it's the job of the coins community to provide them, quickly effectively and efficiently. not moan about it and smear them, but provide support to a exchange that provides support to you, in situations where you would not be supported.
Cryptopia are supporting coins that are poor, and get unlisted from other exchanges just to help the community grow, therefore credit is due here, but moaning about it and not giving them nodes when you need them to make a transfer, indicates the community you bought the coin in, does not care about the coin, and the maybe no community at all, or no leadership, therefore the problem is with the coin you bought, not Cryptopia, the community should be sending the nodes over.
so you say that Ethereum community is not providing enough nodes huh? The second big coin in coinmarketcap. B*** please
we have found the answer to why they don't get help, look at the self centred childish comments with lack of productive thought, who would want to help you. because you people can't help yourself. though even the Etherium dev said the crypto community needed to grow up, by the looks of it he's right.this is good ammo for him to quit. well done.
have you asked or sent them any? no i don't think you have. if you have not who are you to talk and call a bitch. idiot. because you don't know how to take action. do you think Etherium devs are busy with other things? i do therefore it would fall to the people mining the currency to provide this for them. but you want to pretend other people are the bitch, i don't get the problem with the currency i trade in cryptopia, they have instant with-drawing. do you? so you must be the bitch. mouthy punk.
