We shall see. There is an avid following behind BCH. Will that be enough to enable it to survive? Who knows. BTC certainly has its issues and cannot handle nearly enough transactions to be a viable currency. However, even at 8MB, neither can BCH. Consider how many transactions Visa can do in 30 seconds and you realize how far both are behind.

That said, either currency could (and most likely will) handle the transactions better in the future. Which means if that is what BCH is hanging its hat on, the fact that BTC cannot handle transactions, then it might be doomed. BTC still has the store of value aspect which many believe will be its ultimate place.
