Only use Bitpay as a fiat gateway. As the classes progress, we will cover hardware wallets like Trezor. The BitPay is only used as a way to get Bitcoin converted to US dollars, as a subsititute for Coinbase, which I never want to use again.
These are baby steps! Most of the people will have never done a Bitcoin trx, ever in their lives!
I only use Bitpay when I want it converted to dollars. I don't store it in the wallet.
What debit fiat card would you recommend? I have used Bitpay and am happy with their service.

Just curious about never wanting to use Coinbase again? It seems people either love it or hate it, and I can say from first hand experience it's frustrating when they are down during peak volatility times...is that the reason? Besides that, it seems pretty solid to me (besides getting verified a HUUUGE pain in the you know what).
Ah!! I see, I guess that's good for transferring to and from fiat currency.
I use an exchange Luno here in South Africa for exchanging to and from fiat currency.
I personally have not used a debit card as yet but am "hoping" that Monaco eventually gets their card launched...
As far as wallets are concerned - I like bitWallet on my iPhone (got a lot of features for the more advanced user and also shows you your private keys). And then I use proper paper wallets (with BIP38 encrypted private keys) stored in multiple locations for any large amounts :)
And I see BitPay just added Coinbase integration - oops :(
