The blockchain technology which runs bitcoin was never hacked. Also there is 100B dollar reward declared if anyone can hack this network. But we have hared multiple times that bitcoin has hacked, why?
The blockchain technology has developed in 2009 provides security better than a banking system. Famous billionaire Mike Novogratz hired some hackers to hack blockchain technology and failed. After that he invested 10% of his property in bitcoin and ethereum.
But the rumors we have heard that bitcoin has been hacked is totally different thing. The real story is that some bitcoin walled was compromised and hackers looted their money. It has happened from the mistakes of a users not from the technology.
This type of error can be reduced by using simple method. User can create a digital bitcoin and use two step verification to log it to his account. Also he can use some user friendly software allowed by bitcoin. So the hacking was happened due to the error of the user.
However in theatrically anything is possible to hack. But theory and practical is different things. Till now we can say that blockchain technology is safe and secure.
