They created a honeypot with 119 000+ bitcoins in them.
The joke is called "bitfinex".
Now you have attackers incessantly zooming in and studying how exactly they can mislead the centralized keyholders into signing off on a set of very misleading transactions that will siphon off all the money.
It is obviously just a question of time before someone will succeed. It is simply the easiest way to make 71+ million dollars. There is no easier way than that! Whatever else you try, you will never make as much!
We have known for years that it is the user, i.e. the owner of the bitcoins himself, who should sign off on any transaction in which his coins will be changing hands, and that he should only do that when he has received already the fiat money in exchange.
Centralized bitcoin exchanges do not work!
Bitstamp is obviously next. They already had a 5+ million dollar heist in January 2015. I do not know how much they are holding now, but you can safely assume that it will sooner or later all be gone too!
