I understand that a simple copy and paste article is generally frowned upon here (for good reason).
BUT... I just read an article that freaked me out quite a bit, and I thought you should all know about it.
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/malware-snatches-13btc-36000-bitcoin-user/
Apparently, there is malware out there that can detect when you copy and paste a BTC address onto your clipboard, and then change the address without the user knowing about it.
One Reddit user just lost $36.000!!
Anyway, I am a poor typist, and always copy and paste addresses so that I don't make a mistake. Make sure you are all double checking addresses before sending - even if you copy/paste..

Thank you very for the info and security alert, highly appreciated so one must be careful to copy and paste the bitcoin address.
You are welcome - scary stuff
If I were transferring 13 bitcoin, I'd quadruple check everything. That's a huge sum of money to me. I'd probably break it up into multiple transfers just to cover my butt. Wow.
Yes indeed, a $36k loss for me would be extremely painful. I once sent too many Bitcoin in a transaction by mistake (he was an acquaintance and returned it), and ever since then, I am very careful before sending.
Well, an important warning. But the heading is pulling!
