Financial regulators of Poland spent taxpayers' money on an advertising campaign in Youtube and Facebook, the purpose of which was to discredit investments in crypto-currencies. Thus, the authorities tried to change public opinion and set people against investing in crypto-currencies, using popular blogs.
The Central Bank of Poland (NBP) in cooperation with the Financial Supervisory Authority (KNF) paid more than PLN 90,000 for an online campaign against investment in crypto-currencies. On December 8, on the humorous channel Marcin Dubiel with more than 900,000 subscribers, a rather ridiculous video called "I lost all the money ?!" appeared, in which investments in crypto-currencies were portrayed in a negative light.
The video, which already has more than half a million views, is marked with the hashtag # uważajnakryptowaluty, which is linked to the site under the supervision of NBP and KNF. The portal claims that "Virtual currency is not money."
As local media note, the video on Youtube did not have an advertising label and in its description there is also no mention that it is part of the campaign for which NBP paid. This video was also published on the Polish channel Planeta Faktów on Youtube.
In addition, judging by the quality of the content and its distribution channels, the negative campaign is aimed at young people. After one user sent a question about this campaign to the NBP, the representatives of the Central Bank in a letter of 9 February confirmed that they "conducted a campaign in the direction of crypto-currency in social networks".

No one ever made money following mainstream news. Best idea is to do the opposite.
