Hi Steemians
I ran across this reddit post and followed the link to a new exchange, which is offering some free Bitcoin for new accounts. It’s $25.00 USD worth of Bitcoin. The exchange looks legitimate, but I haven’t checked it out completely.

I am sharing the links below and proceed at your own risk with open eyes. I recommend checking it out on a scam alert website before depositing any money. These are the instructions from the Voyager exchange website:

Follow these steps to earn your free Bitcoin:

Sign up before we launch to get on the list for early access and receive a $25 BTC credit.
Check your inbox for an email from Voyager and confirm your email address (If you don’t receive an email, contact rewards@investvoyager.com for support. Be sure to check your spam or junk folder).
When we launch in your area, claim your BTC credits by downloading the Voyager app and creating an account.

For any questions about our rewards program or to report any issues, please contact us at contact@investvoyager.com.

Never heard of them, I do know that blockchain.info are recently offering $25 if you verify your account and coinbase the same $25 but I don't know why. It's easy for people to jump on the band wagon of $25 to offer but how credible it is one must first look at the history of people backing it. Cheers.

It's raising a lot of flags by looking at the Reddit profile. It's only 17 days old, and he or she is spamming the same link in mass subreddit. I'm surprised it hasn't been banned for self promotion yet.

It looks like the domain was registered about a year ago via GoDaddy, so whoever owns the domain should be easy to locate if it is a scam. Unfortunately it's hard to prosecute overseas where scamming English speakers is big business.

I looked into it further, and I do not think it's a scam. Google search suggests it before I finished typing it. Their Twitter and LinkedIn have backlinks to the same website, and they all look very legit.

Thsnks for the info!

Thanks friend for sharing and advice.

I once got an airdrop of 250 USD "BTC" from a new exchange. Turns out that 250 USD could only be used to pay for trading costs on their platform.
