Nice Post!

I would love your feedback on my new post titled ‘Bitcoin, John McAfee, The story of the Sultan and his Flying Horse and why we should pay attention to Warren Buffett’

Criticizing McAfee and suggesting that we listen to Buffet? FFS..

For years it's been clear that Buffet has nothing valuable to contribute to any discussion on crypto.

Applying the, "lack of intrinsic value" argument to a currency is irrational. Since Warren Buffet continues to do so, what does that say? He doesn't understand the fundamentals of currency, or he's trying to fool people who don't understand the fundamentals of currency. In the first case it would be clear that he's not adequately qualified to comment on currencies. In the second case, it would be clear that his ethics and desire to appear rational are outweighed by his agenda against bitcoin. In either case, he's not worth paying attention to.

Hmmmm @michaelo,

Thank you for your feedback.

Interesting thoughts....

I would appreciate it if you could help me understand the following:

  1. How many 'years' has it been clear that Buffett has had nothing to contribute to crypto and if so why?
  2. Why is the lack intrinsic value argument to any currency irrational? Do currencies have intrinsic value and if so how is this demonstrated?
  3. Since Buffett has made $83Billion in the capital markets, how does he not understand the essential aspect of it- i.e. currency?

I stand by my criticisms of him.

Many thanks,
@shenobie

  1. Since his first comments on bitcoin, probably 2013, therefore 5 years.
  2. How much intrinsic value does a $100 bill have? Currencies aren't supposed to have intrinsic value, they only represent a unit of value. Buffet goes on about bitcoin having no intrinsic value. This is an irrational criticism.
  3. Read everything after, "He doesn't understand the fundamentals of currency,"
