Drama as Coinmarketcap excludes Bithumb (korean) exchange prices on ALL currencies, not just Ripple

in #bitcoin7 years ago

I woke up to see Cripple down, and felt kinda happy. This bank-coin should fall a lot as it has nothing to do with crypto currencies. Trying to find out why it has dropped I found nothing, except people complaining Coinmarketcap had dropped Bithumb - in other words, excluded bithumb prices from Coinmarketcap.

People are yelling maniuplation, but as far as I can see - this goes for every coin? If you check Bitcoin, Bithumb is excluded. If you Check Eth, Bithumb is excluded, and so on.

Coinmarketcap has no information on why they've done it. And I'm still trying to figure out why the price is so high on the excluded Bithumb (Butt hump?) exchange.

It's not a small exchange. It currently has 5% of all Eth trading volume, but look at the price of (excluded) Eth. $1800! Bitcoin is at $18000. And for Cripple it's obviously worse, since 40% of all trading is on Bithumb.

Why this huge difference in price? And why have Coinmarketcap excluded Bithumb? I'll get back with more if I figure it out. Do you have any info?

This is a Korean exchange phenomena. Don't know why it is like that. You can take a look at IOTA. It trades aboue 6$ at Coinone, and the price is excluded from Coinmarketcap.com. I've heard that you need to be Korean to trade on those exchanges, which could be part of the explanation, limiting arbitrage some, but I've never heard of Koreans being denied at the other international exchanges, so why don't they just send their btc og eth to a international exchange, but their shittokens there and send it back to their "local" exchange? Unless Koreans are banned from all other exchanges, this phenomena is a big mystery.

it had a tough few days as most people keep hating on it, maybe it time we stop calling it a crypto and call it what it is a banktser coin

It is pretty contraintuitive to do investments inside a industry that the sole technology is suppose to disrupt and get rid of the industry itself. Or how do you put that? 1 good upvote for the person that puts that in a easy understandable sentence. lol

Dude thanks for posting this. I got rid of my ripple before what I thought was a sell-off. I felt guilty for having it, I've had it a while, but this is interesting. Still glad I sold it, and for a nice profit. Thanks for posting.

Congrats. The only moral thing to do is to sell shittle.

wow! ETH $1237.10 usd.

I've sold my remaining Ripple above the $3 mark, after selling half at $0.5, and bought EOS, and I'm glad I did because I really don't believe in it or like it.

the conclusion is simple plus there are people who are interested in cryptocurrency plus its value increases from day to day

ETH has retaken #2 from XRP on coinmarketcap.com

Huzzah!!

Koreans do not even know why they have bubbles.
If the bubble does not disappear, I think the bubble will peak when a new registration of exchange is granted on the around January 20
