Today I came across on an interesting post about bitcoin mining. According Icelandic energy expert the people there will use more electricity for mining bitcoin than all country's home use. You can see the source in the end of the post.

Trust me, this will go away soon (i hope). Ethereum and other cryptos that still use PoW are pushing hard to get away from it, because is simple doesnt make sense to use all this power. There are a lot more efficient consesus methods like PoS that will do the job not only with less energy consumption, but are a lot faster. The for front of figuring out the best consensu method is Tezos.
