A youtuber will launch its own television series supported by funds raised with bitcoins. The producers plan to release the series soon on CBS, CW and Roku. The first 13 episodes will be available by CBS in transmission to pre-selected areas and will touch on cryptocurrencies in general, ICOs, exchanges, computer security, mining processes and cryptocurrency futures.

The youtuber and investor, Jason Appleton, made the announcement on Monday, May 7, informing that his new series would be completely financed by an investment in bitcoins.

As we already mentioned, the broadcast will take place on CBS, one of the largest television networks in the United States; as well as CW, a subsidiary operated by the former owners of United Paramount Network (UPN) and Warner Bros; they will also provide transmissions by mobile devices and computers through the "Roku" service.

According to the announcement:

This is the first time that a cryptocurrency youtuber proposes to make a television series financed by bitcoins. Even the sponsors and recording equipment will be paid for the funds in bitcoins.

Also, Appleton signed an agreement with CBS to broadcast the first 13 episodes in selected markets, with the hope that it will expand throughout the national territory. It is speculated that the release date for the first season will be on June 25 of this year.

CBS added that:

Each episode will be full of educational content, special for beginners, focused on the field of cryptocurrencies, such as investments, security measures, ICOs and recognized companies and their effect on modern industry.

Certainly, cryptocurrencies have touched not only the financial market, but also the entertainment market.

This week, for example, it was revealed that the seventh episode of the third season of the popular series "Billions" was focused on the cold storage device "Ledger Nano S".

Similarly, another similar case was seen with the premiere episode of the ninth season of the famous NCIS Los Angeles series, in which the protagonists unraveled a case related to cryptocurrencies.

And this is just a small sample of the potential of cryptocurrencies and how they are shaping our lives with each development.
