I think thats no good situation, cause one of the main points of BTC was(!) decentralization. And in this situation we saw that it can be manipulated, first, by the decission of a few guys about cancelling the Segwit, second, with the pumping of BCH.
I think BTC would not be dethroned and its price will be higher 8k$, but all these happenings should be occasion for thoughts and action for BTC team.
