BTC upside is hundreds of percent. If it goes up 1000% ultimately and reaches $150,000 that would be a lot of profit. However, the alt coins have massive upside. I have one that is up 32,927%. That's not a typo. I would take 392X vs. 10X any day of the week. Just make sure you diversify over at least 10 alt coins and do keep some BTC so you can buy the alts when opportunity presents itself.
