With all the certainty surrounding the UASF on Aug 1st, I'd have to say that BTC is far from foolproof. Even if the upgrade is successful, it needs to be implemented.
Ethereum may have taken a hit through a selloff, as Buterin repeatedly explained, ETH is not a currency but computational power. This will be made clearer as more upgrades to ETH is released.
Remember, value may go up and down, but functional technology will always have demand. The UASF is an attempt to restore effective functionality to BTC. We'll have to see if it happens or not.
interesting...thanks for the input! I just hope the best for Bitcoin really because I believe that is what all the blockchains are pretty much based on so Bitcoin's future is maybe the future of all crypto? More research is needed for me now especially because I don't know much about UASF. By chance did you see the Genesis mining video on steemit? guy had an invite to their Iceland facility, pretty interesting. I invest in Genesis and mine Ether which has actually paid for itself in 4 months. With price of Ether going up so does my pay outs too! Unfortunately I also like Bitsler lol
Haha I see. Well, instead of doing research on bitcoin or cryptocurrency, I suggest doing research on blockchain technologies. Often "crpytocurrency" is tied to a function, and often represents a non-monetary value of worth.
For example, Siacoin is used for SIA, a decentralized online storage function. Its value holds as a means to provide and nurture that function alone.
Thanks for the tips! will do!
