Bitcoin trading/investing; My first series of transactions left me with nasty taste in my mouth...

For about 2 years now I've been trying to make some moves with bitcoin but I've been to scared to jump in with both feet until yesterday. I jumped in head first and then quickly found out that I knew less than I thought and actually became flustered and completely dumbfounded by the entire situation and I've actually taken a few courses which now I think created a positive void within my thinking process. I'm usually one of those guys that over thinks the situation out, plans and then has a backup plan maybe even Plan A , Plan B and Plan C ... But this Bitcoin purchasing alone was a pain in the ass. My bank kept rejecting the process and even created this huge ordeal because I attempted to purchase from 3 sites and all the sites kept screwing me over even more than the last. Started with verification and then went to straight send us this and we'll send you this. As I'm sure everyone reading this knows what happened next.... Yup you guessed it, I was taken for $68 usd.... I know I know what your thinking to yourself, How is this poor dude going to survive without his Cherry Coke, Pork Chops and French Fry donation is now gone. Not to worry everyone, I have top romain box of 48 and a tub of Koolaid mix.... I will survive for now....

Please let me know your bitcoin horror story. I truly want to learn from my mishap and anyone else's will help me not make the mistakes that we all might have had.
