(SecondMarket, Inc. and Restricted Stock Partners), he participates very frequently in conferences and colloquiums on trading illiquid assets in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, New York Times, USA Today, BusinessWeek, Forbes, Fortune, Bloomberg News, Fox Business News, Business News Network and TheStreet.com.
Nicolas Cary - is a co-founder of Blockchain, a popular Bitcoin block explorer and Bitcoin wallet. He also co-founded Youth Business USA, a nonprofit that supports and trains young entrepreneurs.
Andreas Antonopoulos - is a technologist and serial entrepreneur who has become one of the most well-known and well-respected figures in bitcoin. As an engaging public speaker, teacher and writer, Andreas makes complex subjects accessible and easy to understand. As an advisor, he helps startups recognize, evaluate, and navigate security and business risks.
Charlie Shrem - is a very influential name in the Bitcoin world. This is due to the reason that he brought Bitcoin at a cheap rate he was younger and started a company called 'Bitinstant'. However in December 2014 he was charged for laundering money to the black market and involvement with the Silk Road.
Roger Ver - sometimes known as Bitcoin Jesus or controversially Bitcoin Anti-Christ, is the owner of Bitcoin.com, and an investor in many of the world’s largest Bitcoin companies. He started investing in bitcoins in early 2011 and bought his first bitcoins at around $1.00. Roger is an ex-convict. He was sentenced to 10 months in federal prison for a felony involving selling explosives on Ebay.
Gavin Andresen - was an early contributor of code to Bitcoin with overall GitHub commits to Bitcoin Core around 484. In 2015, Andresen joined MIT’s Digital Currency Initiative. Additionally, he serves as the Chief Scientist of the failed Bitcoin Foundation, and is an advisor to Coinbase and Zcash. Andresen and Satoshi Nakamoto communicated often through Bitcointalk in early-2010. In mid-2010, Andresen alerted Satoshi that he had agreed to meet with the CIA to discuss Bitcoin. Satoshi disappeared shortly after. It’s not clear, however, whether or not Gavin’s meeting had anything to do with Satoshi’s departure.
Ross Ulbricht - is famously associated to be the sinister problem child In the Bitcoin community. This was first of a kind issue where he was sentenced to life imprisonments for money laundering and conspiring to sell narcotics and illegal hacking. He had created a black market for the sale of drugs famously known as Silk Road. Under the names of Dread Pirate Roberts. The FBI then shut down the Silk Road and took into custody over 144,000 biticoins.
Dave Clarkson - he is one of the most successful Bitcoin miners and he also turned this skill into a company called mega big power from his basement and in early 2016 it was reported that the company made a whopping 8 million per month.
Jared Kenna - was a former U.S. marine and said to have got into Bitcoin trading when it was as cheap as 20 cents. He took a gamble and invested large sums in this currency which made off and made him extremely wealthy enough to start his various businesses and support the new ones.
Tony Gallipi - is the co-founder and executive chairman of BitPay. Tony has 20 years of experience in Sales and Marketing in the Robotics and Financial industries. Tony has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech.
Cameron Winklevoss and Tyler Winklevoss - this pair is famously known for their legal battle with the Facebook founder Mr.Mark Zuckerberg. However in the Bitcoin community they are said to have combined net worth of around 3000-4000 million because of various investments.
Yifu Guo - Yifu Guo was a student of the famous NYU University and is regarded as one of the greatest inventor in the biticoin community because of his purpose built Biticoin miner. His invention was so popular that within the first few months it generated revenue of over hundred dollars.
Dustin Trammel - is a security researcher and fan of cryptography as well as a Libertarian and a fan of alternative currencies. Being both of these, Bitcoin hit his radar almost immediately when Satoshi posted his original white paper about Bitcoin on October 31 2008, and subsequently the first version of the Bitcoin client software on January 08 2009, to the Cryptography email list. He had many conversations with Satoshi via email shortly thereafter, mostly reporting bugs, asking clarification questions, and making suggestions regarding ways to improve the software.
Mark Kerples - Famously known as the CEO of a company called Mt.Gox. He is a French entrepreneur who once headed the largest Bitcoin trading platform. However there have been charges on him for being dishonest and disappearance of millions of dollar worth currency.
Knightmb - this anonymous person in the community said to own 371.000 Bitcoin.
Wences Casares - is the Founder & CEO of Xapo, and a Board Member at PayPal. Previously, Casares founded Lemon, which he sold to LifeLock for $42.6 million in 2013. Casares grew up in Argentina, where his parents were farmers. He claims his parents lost their savings multiple times because of inflation. After Casares discovered Bitcoin in 2011, he could not find an easy way to store his coins. With Xapo, Casares solved both his parents’ problem and his own. It allows anyone world to securely store Bitcoins–a currency resistant to government inflation. Xapo has raised over $40 million in VC funding. In January 2016, PayPal appointed Casares as a Member of its board.
Satoshi Nakamato - Satoshi Nakamoto is the name used by the unknown person or persons who designed bitcoin and created its original reference implementation. As a part of the implementation, they also devised the first blockchain database. In the process they were the first to solve the double spending problem for digital currency. They were active in the development of bitcoin up until December 2010. Nakamoto has claimed to be a man living in Japan, born on 5 April 1975. However, speculation about the true identity of Nakamoto has mostly focused on a number of cryptography and computer science experts of non-Japanese descent, living in the United States and Europe. One person, Australian programmer Craig Steven Wright, has claimed to be Nakamoto, though he has not yet offered proof of this. As of 2 February 2017, Nakamoto is believed to own up to roughly one million bitcoins, with a value estimated at over US$1.6 billion.
