I recorded this video yesterday and didn't know when I would post it. After all, my page is about homesteading and living off grid. But because I get payouts in crypto, I am at least entitled to my opinion when it comes to all the bitcoin and crypto talk.
The news media is fit to be tied about Bitcoin and everyone is throwing the bubble word around like they're Joe Montana at the Super Bowl. Bubble this and bubble that.

Bitcoin is not bubble, it is in bubble...
It will pop many times and rise again like stock market...
Cryptos are still a long way to go in terms of evaluations for it to be compared to the dotcom bubble occurred in the late 1990s. So first off there is a still a long way to go. Second even if it is a bubble it doesn't matter. A healthy purging is always required to separate the grain from the chaff. The same happened in Dotcom bubble as well. We had some amazing companies like Google, Amazon et al which pretty much changed the world we live in.
With blockchains we have the added advantage of transparency, distributed decision making and the gains are shared by a large number of common people unlike the limited set of investors during the dotcom bubble.
So who cares if it is a bubble or not as long as you are investing in the good companies for the long term. I am suggesting all my friends to invest in Cryptos as an insurance against the failing governments and FIATS.

Good piece from someone with inside knowledge and experience with digital currency. Suddenly 21 million sounds like a small amount though. The future is hard to predict, but what will stop Steem or Bitcoin from being broken into smaller pieces as time goes by?

I was watching this video last night and my husband could hear it too, he’s a Glenn Beck listener...lol
I like Glenn, been listening to him back before he was syndicated. But sometimes he makes me so angry...you can tell that he always has staff do reseach for him and then brief him on what to think....he never does research for himself.
I think that very soon, the websites around the world will begin to accept cryptocurrencies, it is an unstoppable trend. It is very important to be able to investigate new ways of acquiring cryptocurrencies without investing large amounts of money. I congratulate you!

Yes, I came over from YT. There have been so many changes on YT and not for the good. I love Steemit and still learning how it all operates. I have yet to transfer any crypto into cash. You were describing the effort that it takes to take gold and silver out of the ground... I was waiting for the comparison to the sheer effort in electricity and capital investment that it takes to make a bitcoin. Next time dude, right?
The 21 million cap, unforgebility, and most importantly, censorship resistance are the other key points among many others.
I would agree with the gold and silver for the most part, they are the 'money' I am most confident in, especially in terms of store of value. And it is nice to hear someone talk about using bitcoin as actual currency, a ways of exchanging goods and services. The one thing that keeps me away from going batshit crazy about bitcoin is its lacking ability to be used as a ways of exchanging goods. Hopefully the lightning network would be able to solve this, if not that, someone else. It would be a game changer.
Overstock.com and other retail sites are using it to transfer goods. But i agree, it needs to be faster.
Rome was not built in a day and new currency always takes a few years (50-75) before it is accepted as normal.
Awesome post here... I swear all I ever hear in speculators saying BTC being a huge bubble and yet BTC continues to rise to all time new highs... it dipped over this holiday season, but here soon it's going to rise above 20k with ease, and we will see more FOMOs throwing into BTC raising the price even higher. Eventually, this whole thing could turn around though, so I think it is very important to take profits here and there as you go... enjoyed your post, thanks for sharing !!

the .com bubble burst but there are new websites everyday and the industry is healthier than ever. That make me think even if the cryptocurrency world corrects heavily it will still prove to be a strong growth sector for years to come. the trick is investing in platforms with strong communities and developers that will last the test of time
