Death of Bitcoin? Vinny Lingham is afraid of big technical problems with SegWit in/before August. Your Opinion?

How do you see the situation for Bitcoin in or before August, when SegWit comes? This is what Vinny Lingham, the 'Bitcoin Oracle', says:

“There’s no guarantee that bitcoin will be around in five or 10 years. In a month’s time, there could be five bitcoins. That’s a big problem, because of the way things are playing out in the technical community right now."

Is Vinny Lingham wrong? What are the risks (crash etc.)? How do you see the situation?

That seems like a big issue if it were to occur. Because all the exchanges now have bitcoin as a common denominator. But then again, if Ethereum would manage to surpass Bitcoin that would stop either way. And as some other cryptocurrency types have already implemented the Segwit protocol productively I don't think the biggest and best supported crypto will be the one to fall. But that is just my personal opinion. Have fun out there and good luck with your future posts.
