Interesting view on Gold markets as I have always felt they are more competing with bitcoin for market share. However, given the influence of derivatives, Gold seems to have a disadvantage in the market. While potentially a good place to park fiat value, bitcoin seems more flexible.

Very interesting pattern your found there! It doesn't need to be correlated in the future though but if we think of both gold and Bitcoin as store of value, that might be the common property that link their value.
