In a few weeks you will begin a training program and learning about the Bitcoin protocol aimed at IT developers. It will be during the month of September in the city of New York where different professionals will have the opportunity to hone their programming around Bitcoin.
The signature chain code Labs is responsible for organizing the so - called "Hacker Residency", providing a more interactive and accessible to developers who wish to acquire learning that can not be obtained in web courses distance learning environment. The workshop will be held for 4 weeks in the chain code Labs headquarters in New York, from 12 September.
Behind this project are Alex Morcos and Suhas Daftuar, developers Labs chain code; and Matt Corallo also Bitcoin Core developer and co - founder of the startup Blockstream . The idea is tobring together at least 12 apprentices developers and enable them to contribute to Bitcoin protocol or related projects.
In an interview with Bitcoin Magazine , Corallo said:
There are a lot of developers who have never contributed Bitcoin Bitcoin Core, or the development of lower protocols. Many of them still feel unable to do so, especially for the idea to go through our rigorous evaluation may sound hopeless. So we are looking for people who want to learn how the protocol works and come up with ideas like all Bitcoin Core developers do every day.
Matt Corrallo
Developer, Co-Founder, Blockstream
The official statement announced to be several talks about Bitcoin technology and the elements of the protocol, adding sympathetically "a good conversation over lunch." In addition, it will discuss ways to contribute to the Protocol through projects like FIBRE, a fiber optic platform which leads aimed at improving the propagation of data between blocks Corallo-. The latter a topic broadly discussed during the past year, but that seems to be resolved with the implementation of Segregated Witness .
The project is aimed at developers with a certain level of experience in projects related to Bitcoin, but who do not have much knowledge about the protocol behind the cryptocurrency. The key differentiator is that this workshop will be entirely practical, allowing trainees to reality theory.
It is also clear in publications Labs chain code is not intended occupationally recruit students. This residence has no cost, it is completely free, although space availability is limited and managed by applications where the candidate will be studied and will be considered based on their experience and ideas that could contribute to Bitcoin projects.
