RE: Bitcoin (BTC) Morning Update: A Minor Correction Approaches

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Hi @scorer, nice of you to reach out to me. I would like to dispel a myth. There is a vast community disagreeing with the rewards given to @haejin's posts by @ranchorelaxo. Many many whales, dolphins and minnows.

Haejin likes to say it is all Bernie and his bots, this is just not true. We are all individuals acting because we care about the STEEM blockchain.

Sort:

I guess it is partly true, but that is not an issue.

Steemit is build to work like that. Probably it is more useful to change the system than to abuse users who use the system.

Built into the STEEM blockchain there is a way to prevent abuse. It is by flagging/downvoting posts which have potential rewards deemed unsustainable by the STEEM community. We are all a part of this community. We all own a share of our future. It's not up to anyone to fix something that is not broken.

Rewards are always potential rewards until the day they are paid out. Then they come out of the reward pool. Before that 7 days it is up to the community to decide if there is abuse or scamming happening, and take the proper measures to counteract it.

Did that make sense @scorer?
