'smart money', I have started investing in a few different coins, mainly Steem, Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Dash.Since joining Steemit and being introduced to cryptocurrencies, or as @stellabelle likes to call it,
Soon, I found myself juggling multiple wallets and it can get a bit confusing especially if you're new to the cryptocash world.
I made a post the other day on how to install a Dash Core wallet on your desktop and on that post a new member named @manfredpirck made a comment about the new Exodus wallet. It looked so cool that I installed it and transferred some coins into it to see how it works.
One Wallet For Multiple Coins
Exodus is a multi-currency digital wallet with a very intuitive user interface even your mom could easily use making it perfect for beginners. But don't let the sleek design fool you as Exodus not only holds multiple currencies but you can trade them from within the wallet with a built-in coin exchange.
There's a help button right in the wallet that connects you to video tutorials, FAQ's, live chat, a toll-free number, help desk, and contact info, but I didn't need any of that because the design is so good anyone can work out how it works. It's so simple it needs no explanation, but just in case, there's access to help right in the wallet. It has a really good, 5-star design.
Exodus is a great option for managing multiple cryptocurrencies in one simple wallet. You can think of Exodus as a self-managed brokerage account for the new class of digital assets called blockchain assets, or cryptocurrencies. (I like to call it smart cash)
How does Exodus keep my money safe?
Exodus stores the assets on your computer for full privacy so you and only you have access to your blockchain assets so you don't have to trust a third-party with your keys and funds. It also means you cannot lose your password or you can't recover your account.
The wallet is free to download and to receive funds. There are very small fees to send money (around .02 cents) and each transaction links to a copy of the transaction that clearly shows the fees, the block number, and the time and date of the transactions.
Exodus can only be run on one computer at a time for the time being, but there are plans in the future to add user access from multiple devices. For now though there is not a phone app to spend your coins on the go.
For managing multiple coins in a simple, elegant, and unintimidating way I highly recommend trying Exodus.
How To Install An Exodus Wallet On Your Computer
Here is a short video walk-through where I transferred some Bitcoin, Dash and Ethereum into it and made a quick video to show some of its features.
I had some delays when I tried to transfer Ethereum into the wallet so I contacted support and the response was fast. I was surprised that JP Richardson, one of the co-founders, contacted me and all I needed to do was refresh the wallet and there it was.
I'm very happy with how easy this wallet works.
If you are managing multiple coins and want a simple wallet to rule them all, this will do the trick. You can read more about Exodus here (Not a referral link)
Hope you found this post helpful.

Exodus Wallet: The multi-currency wallet you've been waiting for! --- by @papillion
Very good to know! Thank you for posting this information.
Upvoted and re-steemed!
Steem on,
Mike
Thanks for checking it out and for the resteem. Exodus has made my life simpler for sure.
So many wallets now it gets a little overwhelming. :) I have been looking into Gatehub for Ripple, ETH, BTC and ETC and some others. Seems to be worth a look. :) Thanks for the tip on Exodus.
One wallet to rule them all.
Is it limited to just the coins you mentioned or is it in fact all coins?
Just the ones I mentioned for now. @stephen.king989 in the comments of this post mentioned another multi-coin wallet called CoinPayments. It looks interesting too and has more coins.
I like the idea of Exodus wallet but I still have other currencies that I have separate wallets for. The easiest multi-wallet I found so far was CoinPayments. If you are receiving currencies from other people, it has a really good interface. The "customer" can pick whatever currency they want to pay you in. I think there are about 50 coins they support right now (including steem, zec, monero, eth, dash, etc). You can convert many of the currencies to others within the site as well. You can also do a sweep of all the coins and convert them to bitcoin in one shot.
Don't get me wrong, exodus is really slick looking and I like the idea of everything being on the computer, but more coins and the ability to access it from your phone (I think it's in the works) would make it so much better.
Looks pretty cool.I'll check them out some more. Thanks.
Just another point worth mentioning the guys at exodus have a slack channel and they are really helpful if you have any quesitons or need help. They are literally always online and willing to help.
They are also adding coins, the hope is that this will be a one stop shop for Digital Assets. At the end of this month Factom is being added to the live release.
It might be worth heading over there and asking about integrating STEEM as the more requests they get might put it to the top of the list.
That would be cool to add Steem but I would rather keep my Steem powered up than in some wallet.
I like to keep powered up too but steem has more uses in my opinion. It could be a great general purpose currency. And for easy of converting in and out it would be great if it was an option in exodus.
Sure. We could contact Exodus and ask them to include it.

Excellent stuff, I will be downloading this and giving it the proverbial bash
It a really cool wallet and excellent support. Easy to use and that's what I like about it.
That is what I like the sound of most. Ease of use is something that really had to be nailed if smart money is going to succeed mainstream style
this is the best wallet so far
Agreed
i love the money sound when u get a deposite
Me too and it makes a really cool swishing sound when you transfer coins out of it. It's like playing a video game.

hahaha. Kind of like a Las Vegas slot machine.
Upvoted! I downloaded the Exodus wallet last week. I like the UI and the fact that you control your keys.
Shared to my small little crypto group on FB. Thanks for the great info! I have been looking for a Wallet to keep more that one currency in. Downloading now.
