After Tesla founder Elon Musk spoke out in favor of bitcoin. the cryptocurrency continues to rise. It could soon break the record mark of 42,000 US dollars.
The Internet currency Bitcoin is again approaching its highest value to date. The price of the oldest and best-known digital currency rose by more than 7 percent to 40,920 U.S. dollars on Saturday on the Bitstamp trading platform. The bitcoin has thus gained almost 21 percent in the course of the week so far. The support of Tesla CEO Elon Musk is seen as one reason for this.
Investors don't seem to be worried about conditions
Last year, the value of bitcoin had climbed strongly, reaching a record high of $42,000 in early 2021. Then it went down a bit before a new rally started at the end of January.
