There's this ranchorelaxo guy who owns a million steemit who upvotes whatever Haejin makes so he has a guaranteed profit, and since he gets alot of big upvotes other people vote him as well for the curation leading to his posts going on trending which makes his work more visible in turn gets more upvotes and so and so forth its kinda like a snowball effect

Damn, so what stops Phil for example buying a whole lot of Steemit and upvoting his own posts (obviously from another account)

@berniesanders will. Steemit's most famous troll. Any minnows or whales like Haejin that start to get too much per article get flagged and attacked by him and his plagiarism bots and posse. It's pretty comical to see so many people actually responding to him. Apparently there are still a lot of people that don't know what trolling is and allow themselves to "argue" with them as if the trolls are real people genuinely trying to have a conversation and not just saying whatever they think will get people to attack them back.
