I was not touching exact subject of proposed forks of BTC (other than mentioning 1st April UASF) but it looks like today we may have SegWit signaling already locked.
Currently 81,1% of network is signaling the lock in and if this happens - BTC will be able to scale with transaction demands and other useful things like side-chains.
Litecoin was first to succed the lockin and price went high. Coblee predicts the same for BTC now.

Miners have until this time to upgrade their nodes. Blocks not signalling BIP 141 (bit 1) will be rejected after activation.

When did you put your money in to LTC? the most recent rally SEEMED in response to possible bitcoin problems, but if Lightning network comes to LTC you'll likely see another rally.
In the long run both BTC and STEEM are headed there, you did nothing wrong.
I only get to see your post right now (hard and long day at work), but wow, it sure was a "moon day" for bitcoin! I'm wondering, can it pass 3000 USD tonight? It almost feels like I wanna to stay awake to keep on watching those price charts... It's incredible! Like I use to say, never invest when a coin is skyrocketing but in this case, for the long term holders, I would say: buy! You could miss a big opportunity! Im still a little bit appalled that an on-chain scalling solution was not achieved , and the block size was not increased
Right now the problem is solved and looks like an agreement was reached , but im worried we will have issues in the future as definite solution to full blocks was not reached
So right now , i don think is a opportunity to invest on btc, but im being cautiosly optimistic , and instead of just holding btc long term , im actively watching the price and trading back and forth to fiat or other crypto

Very encouraged by the rally. I still expect to see bigger blocks in the future but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
My prediction? Segwit bitcoins will only be held by bankers and speculators while real users fork to Big Block Chain.

Rallied hard and backed off now. Will it head back up past $3k or drop off further! Interesting times ahead and quite a few days to go before the November deadline!!
At one time when bitcoin was losing its value I was really dismayed. I converted all my bitcoins to USD with a significant loss. But, when it started to regain its value I started buying and selling at low and high prices respectively. Fortunately, I covered all the losses.
I am looking forward to the SegWit transition and the big BTC rally. Its going to be a fun ride!
@kingscrown - Apollo 11 saga is one of my favorite ones. In spite of all the controversy about whether NASA actually sent men to moon, I firmly believe that moon landing did actually happen and was a giant step for mankind. Similarly, now with these positive signs of BIP91 locking in, Bitcoin should go to moon. Thanks for this analogy. I love it. Hopefully, the progress shown by Litecoin kicks in soon for bitcoin too. Let us keep fingers crossed. Upvoted.

My personal approach is to move all my BTC to a private wallet. I am using Armory myself, but there are many other great choices for wallets. Just don't keep your BTC on any exchanges until the storm passes.

The recovery from that crash was pretty weak. Even though there's some hype about SegWit activation, I don't see the price staying up for more than a few months. After Lightning Network begins and people realise it's not the greatest payment system ever created, their expectations will fall a tad.
