ProtonMail has revealed its Bitcoin that is adding an official payment option and that other cryptocurrencies may soon follow.

The service, started by some CERN boffins, has unofficially been Bitcoin that is accepting dating back 2014 when PayPal froze a donation(gift) account linked to the project. Since that time, users happen in a position to spend the cryptocurrency in return for solution credits – but payments required a cumbersome approval process that is manual.

Now, ProtonMail is Bitcoin that is making and has developed an automatic system to facilitate repayments, by an article. The firm cited activity that is increasing the Bitcoin network being a driving factor for the update.

The team had written:

"the rise that is generally how many Bitcoin deals through the years has made that [manual] approach unfeasible and made the development of an automatic system necessary. We feel this is indicative of the wider trend, where the increased mainstream curiosity about Bitcoin will make it harder for merchants never to help Bitcoin, that may induce more Bitcoin support, more transactions, as well as perhaps the admiration that is continued of rates."

The "fragility and uncertainty of this traditional sector that is monetary had also been cited as a reason behind the service's diversification into crypto currencies. As a result, ProtonMail indicated that it would not limit crypto payment options to just forward Bitcoin going.

Into the post, the team indicated it would accept next, soliciting suggestions via social networking it will look to the community for the understanding of which "coins or tokens.

"We're excited to further deepen the cryptocurrency community to your connections with this particular action, and we look forward to doing our component to ensure the brighter future guaranteed by blockchain does develop into a reality," the group composed.
