I haven't felt my heart race like this since I drank eight Red Bulls in one night.
Let's get to the point, trading Crypto is fun, learning about Crypto is fun, hell just talking about Crypto is fun, so fun in fact that it's taken over a majority of my conversations with both new friends and old, from "normies" who just don't get it, to Crypto geniuses, everyone has a good time talking about what they think the future might hold for Bitcoin and the rest of the Altcoins. Some might say it's an addiction, I say "It's the hobby I've been waiting for".
In March of 2016 I was lucky enough to be invited to Pioneers Asia in Tokyo, Japan. Pioneers Asia is essentially a big get together of innovative startups from around the world. Among many other incredible speakers like Dirk Ahlborn from Hyperloop and Sheel Mohnot from 500 Startups, one speaker stood out from the rest, Roger Ver from Bitcoin.com. While the other speakers dove into the fine details of their businesses and achievements, Roger repeated one simple direction to the audience, "BUY BITCOIN!".
Since then the value of Bitcoin has risen from around $400 USD to nearly $20,000 USD in just over one year, wow I wish I had listened to Roger. Although I had every intention of purchasing Bitcoin at the measly price of $400 I couldn't actually figure out how to do it properly here in Australia and quickly threw the idea into the "too hard" basket. I've since lit that basket on fire.
I'm lucky enough to have invested in Bitcoin recently at around $10,000, better late than never I guess, but it's the Altcoins that really have my attention. Roughly every hour I check the exchanges and update my personal spreadsheets to see how I'm going, the few Altcoins I've dropped money into I really believe in, whether it be the technology that powers them or their mission to replace existing systems ripe for disruption (eg. the very platform you're reading this on). I find this process incredibly soothing and exciting in a weird harmonious balance of emotion and I'm sure you do to.
In the past few months I've been caught up reading article after article, watching video after video and the one thing I've realized is that no one really knows what's going to happen next, the only way to really figure this thing out is to share ideas with people just like me on a platform just like this - I can't wait to hear from you.
