I totally agree @hilarski I gave myself at least a year before I would power down and exchange any of my steem power. I think I will most likely go longer than that now that the price of STEEM and really most if not all cryptos is going up. I think we are early in the 3 wave of Elliot Wave theory, which means we are a ways from the peak of these historic times.

I know many people have said this but it's true, more and more people are coming into this field so by logic more demand therefore higher prices will keep coming. So greatful I found this new technology!
I did pretty well this time around, but missed the first surge. I pulled out of BTC in 2013 and didn't get back in until BTC was already $1800. I would have been better off letting it sit, but kept trying to flip and missed several 10% overnight jumps. Lesson learned, look at long term and take some risk in the sort term!
We can't sit and watch our computers 24 hours a day. Get out and enjoy life, Bitcoin and Crypto Currencies are just a tool to make life better. Your altcoins will recover, I guarantee it!

Credible predictions have btc at 13,000 next feb. The US DOLLAR IS COLLAPSED ALREADY. If you don't know this, that is what is driving this. Capital flight across the world from FIAT DEATH.
I hope you folks can see what is happening, crypto is rising as central banks and government fall globally. Make sure you can survive a financial apocalypse, or your investment will be for naught. Food, Water, guns and ammo. You will need that to cash out in the future, since you need to survive first.
I am filling up my Steem Power and as I understand it takes a while for it to power down if I would like to cash it. So that gives peace of mind The market can do what it wants my Steem is locked up.
The increase in overall volume, and the fact that people are still willing to sell BTC for a profit (even dumping and driving the price down hard), helps confirm this is not a bubble for me. I have been slowly growing my own holding in the past few weeks, and believe I will be doing so all year.
The next step for me is to get more involved in cryptocoins itself beyond just owning.
Upvote for you. I think Steem will increase quickly to 5 and maybe 10 dollar. Personally I'm waiting untill september before possible start powering down.

from the video, litecoin was never ahead in the race ,its still hovering around 30, its perhaps most disappointing crypto so far.
We love to hate Litecoin.
