Trend towards de-centralization

When I see the Spanish government send in storm troopers to beat up old ladies in Catalonia trying to vote it irritates me a little, but it does not surprise me.

The Washington post is printing propaganda about how "fake news" is supposedly mis-reporting the beatings that took place in Catalonia. It is never surprising to see the MSM try to cast decentralization movements in a bad light. It has been a consistent feature of MSM reporting from both Fox News/WSJ and the regular left wing media. It is part of the reason that viewership and readership for the big networks and papers continues to decline. They refuse to talk about the need for decentralization of power. The left and the right wing work together to consistently argue for the centralization of power. Increase the power of the presidency and increase the budgets of every branch of government. Those who argue for secession have been consistently labled racists or nazis if they have any characteristics of a stereotypical republican and they are labled as ANTIFA-weirdo-hippy-anarchists if they can be more easily stereotyped with blue party tendencies.

Even if every picture of old ladies in Catalonia being beaten with batons was not authentic, it does not take away from the fact that Catalonians have been trying to have a separate government where they feel more authentically represented for 300 years. Does anyone deny that? does anyone think people she really be beaten for having this opinion?

These girls are not racists and they are not neo-nazis:

I don't know why they want to secede and have a smaller government, but perhaps that question should be put to them. I have lived in small towns like Scituate, Massachussetts(pop 10,000) and big towns like Houston, Texas(pop milions). One benefit of a smaller town is I felt that if something important came up, I could actually talk to someone on the town board. I could actually gather a decent sized voting block to talk about issues. In a big city forget about it....the machine is far too vast. There are many other benefits to decentralization, such as the ability to perform many experiments in close proximity to find the best solutions to problems like the parabolic cost increases in education, housing and basic healthcare (not revolutionary new surgeries).

Today as a subject of a gigantic Federal government with trillions of dollars in debt. I pay taxes to fund wars around the world I don't want, kill people that I actually love and pay interest on debt that I never wanted taken out on my behalf. I don't avoid the taxes because I am a working stiff who is scared of going to jail. I make a salary...I am not super successful, I have made many poor career decisions, I made many more poor personal decisions, but my income is still good enough to put me in high tax brackets. I'm lucky. I pay what my tax lords demand. However, I do not believe it is for good. My tax dollars are funding chaos, destruction and a corrupt opaque monetary system underpinned with the US dollar.

In today's news I see that Catalonians are advocating to withdraw money from the ATM's to show the Spanish banks that they are serious. This shows that they know the banks have a lot of political power. On the same day bitcoin has hit another all time high of over $6,000 per bitcoin. The price was less than $1,000 at the beginning of the year.

Catalonians that try to withdraw money will soon find out that the bank can arbitrarily place limits on fiat cash withdrawals. It is not our money even if it is in our accounts. That does not mean that the exercise will not annoy the banks. If anything it will prove to the people of Catalonia that they have no hope of becoming a independent country without getting a independent monetary system. The euro has not appreciated the last 5 years. Buying the basics of life just keeps getting more expensive in Euros and USD and every other currency under the umbrella of the BIS. If you actually want a store of value you need a currency that cannot be inflated at the whims of corrupt politicians in bed with crooked banks.

If Catalonians really want to to take away one of the major components of power from the Spanish government and the politicians in Brussels, they will start accumulating assets in a decentralized currency. Is this currency guaranteed to keep going up? no. Many of the sharpest critics of bitcoin point out that continued growth will force governments to do "anything possible" to destroy the decentralized currency. This is a thinly veiled promise of physical violence. Catalonians have heard this type of talk before and the Spanish government fulfilled the promise. The problem for central governments is that they cannot hide the physical violence as easily as they used to. WE SEE THEM now! The masses will not stand for it again. We do not approve, the government of Spain looks like violent facist apes and it is funny that they are surprised by this. It is telling that the Washington Post is still trying to tell us that what we see is not really true. The decentralized currency community must do the same thing. We must force the government to try and do "whatever it takes" to stop bitcoin. the actions of a violent government will be see by all. Force their hand:
