Whenever I sign into my wallet I get this screen. It shows where the blockchain syncs. I've tried restoring the wallet. I've tried re-installing the wallet on this machine. I've tried restoring the wallet on another Windows machine. I have the seed and the password. I use this wallet daily. I'm not exactly sure what I can do because I don't think I can import the seed to another type of wallet like Armory. I believe you have to export the actual private keys to a different wallet, not just the seed words.
Update 1: I noticed when I try to restore the wallet, Multibit has a list of backup dates to choose from going all the way back to the original creation date. I'm trying to restore to an older date in case any of the recent date backups were corrupt. We'll see. I think even if I restore from the creation date, the blockchain will still have to sync but the transactions are the same regardless. Hmm.
Update 2: On Macs to uninstall a program you just drag the application to the trash bin. I thought maybe it's not giving me a complete uninstall. I found a Multibit folder under hidden folders: ~/Library/Application Support/. So, I deleted the hidden folder and I could tell the re-install was different this time because it did not retain any settings and when I went to restore the wallet on re-install, it also asked me for the date stamp. I assumed that could have messed up my attempts to restore the wallet. I've tried restoring. I've tried "i've forgotten my password" option. It now says that the password will not unlock the wallet.
Update 3: So this seems to be an issue for the Mac 0.5.1 version. https://github.com/keepkey/multibit-hd/issues/982 is the official post. I imported my seed into iOS Bread Wallet. Blockchain sync took over 5 hours. I sent my bitcoin to my Ledger Nano S for now.
I have an history about how I saved my bitcoins from multibit wallet. Please, see my blog (sorry, but it is still in portuguese and has to be translated).
