The BTC market is 24/7 and I do love markets that are 24/7.

That being said, I think there is an excellent chance that BTC will reach $1k USD before mid-night 31 December 2016.

My observations on the market have been that BTC is driven up by Asian buyers and driven down by Western traders. While those westerners are out celebrating the New Year, the smart Asian buyers will drive the price up to the $1k area.
