Further sanctions of U.S. on Chinese investment projects and tech export to China sent European stocks into recession overnight.
Infineon, STMicro, ASML and SAP all plummeted down by 2.6 to 3.6% percent.
The EU autos sector went for its seventh day of losses in a row (down by 1.4% this time) after POTUS claimed he was going to raise EU car import tariffs by 20%.
In the bank stocks, the worst performers were Commerzbank, HSBC, Santander and BNP Paribas.
Airbus, ABB and Siemens all dragged STOXX down the most.
