Did you read the post? Altcoins generally go up in line with bitcoin - there are no guarantees though.
yes I did read it, but I'm new to crypto and wonder if there are any other factors at play for each currency or if the social media platform makes STEEM less volatile or if it is like a candy currency to most and only bloggers treat it like income, the rest just manipulate through trading and speculation. But the part about no guarantees is what I was getting at. I'm a total nube, so everything helps. Plus I am thinking about actually putting money in, instead of accumulating lunch money on here as an investment and really only wondered about Steem and how all this works. Thanks for the clarifications :)
That's the big problem though. Most of the time altcoins follow bitcoin but sometimes they don't!
