At first, I thought Coinmarketcap had an issue with their price feed (happened before), because the charts were looking, all of a sudden, incredibly bullish:
But then I looked for other price sources, and Coindesk is known for generally showing a lower price than CMC. Well, surprise, surprise:
So, something BIG is happening in the crypto market. It may be Soros moving the markets again, it may be the tax season is almost over in US, it may be the most unlucky fat finger in history (triggering an order of few hundreds of millions), it may the biggest bull trap ever, or it may be some news that we don't yet know of. Fact is the price spiked dramatically.
One of the consequences of this Bitcoin surge is that STEEM spike is now abruptly balanced - every time Bitcoin price surges, money flows from alts to BTC, and most of the trading is done by bots these days, so it looks like some algorithms were hit:
Even with this sudden correction, STEEM still has gained more than 10% in value in just a few hours.
Let's see how this plays out.

Indeed... only big players can manipulate it that way... anyways we were expecting this bull run to start after April 17th... It looks we had under estimated the power of Crypto's.
Playing out pretty well so far and its still the first day. Steem now up over 25%. Sweet...

Well it is about time haha! We have been HODL and waiting for so long and I am hoping that this continues from EOS to even Mithril are all up!
Interesting times. I wonder what is causing it.
Which just proves that TA in crypto currency is just day dreaming, crypto is moved by pure manipulation, you can't predict that, all of these curves and waves and resistance levels are not worth much when what decides what will happen is the pumps or dumps made by a few people.

An increase of about a thousand dollar in just an hour. Some good news for today. There are reports that the Russian oligarchs actions must have resulted in this.

Actually I was expecting (and dreading) seeing this a couple days now. There has been a lot of mainstream media hype of crypto over the last few days. The Soros announcement. Then Stanford adding a crypto something or other. Then some other major players buying into crypto. These things have been happening, but suddenly they were newsworthy, all right around the time tax season is wrapping up in the US.
I was hoping it would be a couple weeks out, since I'll have considerably more money I can invest then, but I could feel it was coming sooner once I saw all this reverse-FUD.
