Unlike STEEM, which hardly moves when BitCoin goes up and then goes down when BitCoin goes down. Makes no sense at all.

No, Steem just seems to want to sink. I don't understand completely why.
I'm guessing that between the October downtime and the obvious manipulation, people aren't taking it seriously. So, the only option is to manipulate Steem Dollar for trading or building up Steem POWER on the cheap.

It does look like it is stabilizing. Bitfinex and 3 other exchanges did have it at below $9,000 for a little while.
