Hello Steemians,
In this post I take a look at the gradual down-drift of bitcoins dominance over the cryptocurrency market. "Bitcoin is King", its a very popular phrase but I begin to wonder if bitcoins unchallenged reign might be coming to an end.

Data Range : 1st Mar 2017 to 3rd August 2017
It can be observed from the graph that bitcoin dominance dropped from 85.58% in march to 44.64% at the beginning of this month, that is a 52.6% drop. Meanwhile the Ethereum(Heir apparent ??) dominance increased from 6.33% in march to 20.77% in august, that is a 228.22% increase in Ethereum's domination.
What do you think is going to happen? Is it possible there are coins not yet created that could come to dominate ? What about existing projects you think could really disrupt this market ?

I read in one of article economy in few months going to change worldwide similar history is going to repeat in terms of economy n financial as euro came into existence in year 1999_2000

Projections and projections!
The crypto-currency world is gradually becoming unpredictably volatile.
I hope it doesn't result in a massive crypto plunge.
Who knows there maybe a currency just around the corner waiting for the chance
I personally think btc will be massively adopted towards real world integration. As you can see it's slowly getting adopted by the masses. I think it will go higher and higher by the years. And probably the time to invest is now.

So far, nothing has come along that is better than it, and it has almost a decade of positive reputation to go along with it... so why would it be replaced?
The only way I see it ever falling from the crypto-throne, is if the idiots who control it make the death-nail-in-the-coffin mistake of creating more than was deemed possible by its founder.
Then it will lose its gold like standard, and will become just another shitcoin for the world to waste their time and hard-earned money on. If it remains finite, it will always reign supreme.
Ethereum has really risen since last year, astronomically at that. I do, however, still think that Bitcoin will continue to dominate the cryptocurrency space, even with Bitcoin Cash threatening to take it over.
In the same breath, the crypto space is really unpredictable and it is very interesting as to which coin/platform will dominate in a few years to come. Maybe it's not even created yet. Who knows? Here's what I do know though, I'm holding most of my Alts, including Btc of course. The future looks bright and most of these will sky rocket come next year
