This was the road map presented to media by Coinbase ~Sept/Oct after they initially refused participation in the Aug fork. Intent to bring BCH onto exchange for trading as well as give BTC HODL'rs their fork coins. There is potential that new BCH may get dumped by Coinbase customers who have been awaiting, ~time will tell.

Very interesting consideration, there might indeed be many waiting on this update just to dump their BCH and bitcoin Cash out ;) pun points . But it could definitely go either way, true .
