Who's spending more?
One transaction with Bitcoin consumes energy ( for 4 persones ) as a household for the month. ( somewhere in the US... )
This is often heard as "some" argument!
How Much Energy Consumes 1 $?
Fiat currencies need among other things:
central banks,
ATMs,
source
armored cars,
source
hundreds of thousands of employees.
The central bank, in this case the FED, can not "simply" deliver the US dollar to every person in the country at the doorstep of the home.
Money requires a really great infrastructure to function.
Only in the US there are more than 6,000 banks dealing with cash transactions.
Most people no longer use cash in their physical form to perform transactions.
They rely on third-party service providers and banks such as JPMorgan, Visa and MasterCard for payment processing.
The amount of resources and energy that these companies and their hundreds of thousands of employees consume should be included in the comparison between the energy consumption of bitcoins against banks.
Who's spending more?
It's not a problem in energy for Bitcoin.
The problem is in parasites.
Bitcoin and other crypto coins eliminate "intermediaries" in paying.
Intermediaries were problem. And, this is problem but "for them".!
The battle continues
If you can choose whether to pay a transaction fee or not ... what will you choose?
Banks or crypto?
Banks fear digital currencies as they end their hegemony on the financial market .These is the true
Hegemony is over.
POS and DPOS actually come to finish the debate, arent they?
Absolutely.
Crypto for sure ! Banks serve no purpose. They are just legal banksters, making money off our every move. Cut out the middle men & we become our own bank & therefore use our brains on finding ways to reduce fees in our transactions
Banks are not needed.
The story of "washing money through Bitcoin" is for young children.
The biggest "wash" occurs in "paper dollars".
Totally agree. RAIN MAN!
Banks are not needed!
For loans are needed ..
For payments between entities - NO.
The bankers know this - alone.
Just no one likes lose -free lunch ...
