Currently with the influence and financial backing of the gambling tycoon, Wright has filed for more than 70 patents in the UK in technology ranging from storage of medical documents to WiFi security. Last year they filed 63 blockchain-related patents and another 27 this year.
Is it at all possible this is the real Satoshi?
Documents reviewed by Reuters show Wright's links to online gambling go back decades and that bitcoin grew out of code originally developed with gambling in mind. Early bitcoin code, seen by Reuters and analysed by a computer coding consultant with no ties to Wright or any blockchain-related project, contains unimplemented functions related to poker.
Now at first when I heard this I was thinking "yeah right this guy is so fake".... but perhaps I was wrong?
But some of the documents, including two folders of computer code for early versions of bitcoin, support Wright's claims that he was closely involved in the development of the cryptocurrency before it became public in 2009.
The thing that kills me i this guy, seems to be all about profits and patents. How could this be the same person that released such an amazing thing opensource. Its almost heartbreaking if its true.
Its like the long time belief of idolizing someone, and then coming to the realization, they are no better than the rest of us.
As there is no solid proof that can confirm or deny his claims as of this point, I stay to chose believing this guy is full of himself - and I will keep hold of my idols for a bit longer.

Sorry about @cheetah, it isn't very smart, but it does do good things overall.
Hey, I recently made a post about this, where I express my opinion about Craig and Satoshi being one of the same.
