At an event yesterday, it was suggested to make the vocabulary easier for newcomers entering the cryptospace, in order to speed up mainstream adoption.
One of the words that was suggested to be changed, is the "wallet". I disagree with that.
I think it's important for newcomers to understand that crypto is cash. That's actually one of the most important things about it. I believe the term "wallet" makes it easier for people to associate it with cash.
What do you think?

Yes, I agree that we should keep the term wallet for a user's collection of addresses, but we shouldn't use the same term for the software. That's confusing. Let's call the software 'the Bitcoin client' or 'your Monero app' etc.
I completely agree. I've got a Bittrex account and a Coinbase account, and I transfer my crypto to my hardware wallet. My wallet can have a few different currencies, but I can have, say Bitcoin, in a number of accounts on different exchanges. Calling everything 'accounts' would be more confusing... and I think 'wallet' is a pretty descriptive term.
