Investment Tools

As a cryptocurrency enthusiast myself, I often had the problem of getting my information at the right time, and keeping up with everything that is happening without losing my entire day managing my portofolio.

This list comprises the tools that I use to stay ahead of everything that is happening in this very fast-paced environment. Perhaps they might be of some use to you as well.

Portofolio Tools

1. AltPocket is a fairly new tool I discovered while browsing bitcointalk. It encompasses everything that a portofolio needs. You can create a really nice dashboard which displays analytics on all your investments and there's even a leaderboard. It's only disadvantage is that being a new platform it has not much of a user base right now and might be prone to some bugs, though I haven't encountered any myself until now.

2. CryptoCompare is probably one of the most popular and feature-packed solutions on the market, in regards to portofolio management. One of the best features is the fact that you can make public portofolios so you can always check how other people see things. It also contains graphs and charts for pretty much every altcoin, thus making the need to leave the platform very small, in case you need to check the stats of a coin.

3. BlockFolio is unique because it has both an Android and an iOS app, so for traders that like to use their phone as the main center of operations, this is the best option on the market right now. It offers the same options as AltPocket or CryptoCompare, but neither of those has a phone app.

News and Price Tools

1. CoinSpectator is yet another tool born out of bitcointalk, and what I like most about it, besides it's marvelous design, is the fact that I can check both prices and recent news at the same time. The platform let's you select from over 145 news sources to display so you can tweak it as you see fit. A really nice thing about coinspectator is that as of right now, it has completely 0 ads.

2. CryptoWatch is a graphic price tracking tool. It only displays the most popular currencies, but it helps that it also contains various exchanges such as Kraken or Poloniex and their individual prices.

3. CoinMarketCap is probably the most well-known tool for tracking everything related to cryptocurrency, and for good reason. It employs charts from the beginning of a coin's history and is always quick to add new coins. Displaying information from over 700 altcoins, including Markets, Social Activity and Historical Data.

ICO Tools

If I were to compare investing in ICO's to dating women, I'd say it goes like this: say you meet 10 women, then 9 of them will wish to kill you and your pet, while the one that's left is the lady up top. So here's something to help your chances.

1. ICO Stats is one of the better sites from this list in terms of design. What's great about it is that it tracks ICO's from launch and provides stats such as ICO price vs Current Price, and Return on Investment stats from a 24 hours timeframe up to 1 month, so this is a great tool for tracking the ICO's where you weren't convinced enough to invest but still want to keep an eye on them.

2. ICO Alert displays a list of all current ongoing ICO's, upcoming ICO's and finished ICO's. The thing one must keep in mind when using this site is that it lists most if not all ICO's. What that means is that they are not curated and many of them can turn out to be bad investments. This is merely a website to keep track of them, not to guide investments.

3. ICO Tracker is yet another tool that comes from a bitcointalk user. Initially, the tool was designed to help them better select the ICO's in which to invest, but after positive feedback and an investor showing up, they decided to take it live. It is now in active development, so that means the website is still in Alpha stage, but their end-goal is to have investors study ICO's and give them a rating in order to curate them. This website is not yet finished so please do not try to use the info presented as basis for investments

Forums

1. BitcoinTalk is the most popular forum to discuss anything that is related to cryptocurrencies, although it has an awful design, the community is great and most of the times you can get good info if you are willing to spend enough time scourging through the hundreds of pages.

2. Bitcoin Forum is probably the second largest bitcoin forum, having been created in 2011.

Bonus

CryptoPing is a little tool I found not long ago when they were having their ICO, it's a Telegram Bot that sends out notifications when volume increases/decreases etc. You can select the coins to track and coins to block, it's actually packed of nifty features. Right now it's in beta, but soon it will be subscription-based and the payment will be made in the Tokens they just sold during the ICO. This is in no way a bot that tells you when to invest, but having that little extra info can sometimes be of great help. There is also a Roadmap detailing future updates for the bot and the platform itself.

Good luck to all of you wall-street wolves in your investment endeavours.

And if you found any of these tools helpful or if there is something you believe I haven't covered, please let me know in the comments!

Cheers, Mark.

this should help with my trading! thanks, followed

Thank you! Great to know it's helpful

I use cryptocompare to keep track of my portfolio and i would reccommend it, its pretty easy to use and looks decent.

only issue is that it is in beta at the moment and some of the features that are available now will only be available as apart of the subscription when its out of beta. I dont know how much that will cost so i dont know if i will get it.

I hope it just stays in beta for a while.
