Homepage of Yahoo right now could only do one thing with a headline and article header like that... Scare the mainstream retail investors into selling coins.
By not saying when this happened, it immediately looks like this happened recently. As well as the adjusted value to todays price in bitcoin. When this event occurred, the value of bitcoin was much lower and the amount lost was much lower. To me this appears to be clear FUD and fake news. Reporting on old stories like this just worries people, and they are clearly wanting the price to go down right now. There was some news about the "trustee" selling the remaining mt-gox coins, but to me that doesnt seem like enough to even write home about. The mtgox story is old, I didnt even lose coins in the event, and I'm tired about hearing about this crap. Stop giving the guy attention, hes a complete air-head who used his personal bank account to store user funds.
Guaranteed they start reporting positive news towards bitcoin when prices start to go back down to levels they most likely sold at.
Someone at Yahoo sold at 6k.
