Making Progress on the Financial Front... [Hardware Wallet and Gold Coin]

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Today was an exciting day for me! I don't normally post about things like this, but I'm just so excited!!

First of all, I bought a KeepKey Hardware Wallet and didn't have to pay for it out of my own pocket!

I have a humble little blog from back in my SEO days that still makes Adsense money, and I received a direct deposit from Google that was enough for me to purchase this awesomeness! I had almost forgotten about the blog and was so surprised to know it's still getting clicks. I've had my eye on the KeepKey for a while now... :)

I don't own a ton of cryptos now, but the amount is increasing by the week; in fact, I've doubled my money over the course of only a month. I don't know about you, but I plan on making a killing with cryptos. I will need to keep security in mind sooner than I might imagine and that's why I obsessed over researching hardware wallets. In my mind, a hardware wallet was a must purchase.

I didn't receive my KeepKey wallet yet, but it's on its way...

Secondly, I finally received my Collector's Edition 75th Anniversary Pearl Harbor 1/10 oz. gold coin from Perth Mint. It came complete with a Certificate of Authenticity and I got it for a great price to boot.

I regularly buy precious metals, but it's usually silver I buy -- and this coin is special.

A 1/10 oz gold coin and a $99 hardware wallet aren't much, but every step in the right direction makes a difference, no matter how small.

I don't normally post about things like this

But you wrote few posts lately, starting from this phrase =)))
New trend?
Gold is gold, no matter what form it has , but if you can sell it in few decades on the much higher price - awesome thing to buy today.
Hardware wallet? sounds like a great idea, I'm thinking about buying one for myself now =)

Maybe it's a new trend. I'm a crypto noob, so I guess I'll write as I learn.

I do have an upcoming post explaining why I chose the KeepKey wallet...

Are you already collecting cryptos? Which ones?

I trust in XMR and LTC
and XMR increased in price x4 since the first time I got some of them. It will continue growing as it is highly anonymous comparing to others and this matters, especially these days. It will continue growing. I expect 250$ per 1 XMR till new year

I was joking about your new trend in writing: "I don't normally post about things like this"

I'm relatively crypto noob as well, but I feel the good trend in XMR check, there are lots of articles about XMR these days and soon they will imply new algorythm that will boost XMR x2 at least

I own some LTC, too. Will definitely check out XMR.

it's defenitely not time to buy XMR now
Maybe BTC goes up and XMR falls down a bit because of BTC growth
I got mine for 35$
now it's 107$ ...
LTC is some kind of safe choice for now.
if you hold everything in BTC then always check that it has good price when exchanging on something else.
Btw, check the graph of XMR lately - it says, this coin is favorite for many people these days =)

Some exciting purchases @cali-girl. So what made you go with the KeepKey over say a Trezor? Curious if you'd be willing to share some of your research. Anyway, exciting stuff and well done with being able to fund at least one of the purchases with blogging! Thanks for sharing 👍

That would probably make for a good post... Stay tuned... ;)

Sounds great 😎

Thanks @cali-girl! Will check out out.

Keep stacking, precious metals and cryptos.

Will do. :)

Hey @cali-girl, thank you for the info, Just starting out in cryptos but will make a point of having one cause I will make a killing in cryptos as well. One more thing nicely done on holding physical gold. i do not thing most people know the value of holding physical gold as a store of value and a universally accepted form of money.

Most people don't hold physical gold and silver, but more people are coming around to the concept.
