I can understand why Millennials (the generation which I am a member of) favor Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a product of our generation and the old system is failing to support enough of us. I see cryptocurrencies as the natural progression of innovation in a time when there's a lot of stress on the system. Look at the Tax bill that was just passed! It's only going to get worse unless you already have a lot of money.

However, I think it's smart to diversify your portfolio. Don't put all of your eggs in Bitcoin. If BTC crashes, then it's taking the entire industry with it. As long as BTC maintains its growth, we're all good. With BTC at its current price, I would've been taken $$$ off the table, but that's just me.
