Thanks for the informative post. I read about the processor vulnerabilities yesterday and some of the vulnerabilities seem to be extremely worrying, especially the remote take over of computer memory!
I think it will be really interesting to see how Facebook tries to revert back of their original goal "giving power back to the people" by using decentralisation. I do not see them creating and SMT, but I'm sure that they will try and decentralise certain aspects of their platform. If they really want to decentralise their platform, they may possibly run their data through a blockchain. What do you think their first port of call will be, once they have researched enough?
